Change background of menu list

How can i change the background of a menu (like <li class="menu">)

How can i change the background color for that? i tried to edit the CSS by adding a background color thing, but i got the result, but it showed really square.

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

anywhere in the css file

I tried this with textbox though, and it showed up kinda squared... look:

(i actually edited the CSS totally by starting from the original total textbox css, just edited the class name and background color as your described)(uncompressed/developer version)(i'm on iWebKit5)

ok then just change the color of that particular page item. remove the css you added and add style="background:red" to your pageitem <ul>

in the html file. not css.
