iPad theme!!!

Postby rhinotechsupport on Sun 28 Mar 2010, 13:42

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone had a iPad theme.
I just started to build apps for the iPad and I like the new header.
The old one is that blue one top bar.
If anyone has this please post it hear.

Thanks.

iwebkit works natively on the iPad, with no modification. what do you mean the new header?

If you want an iPad theme on the iPhone then that's okay but if you want to make an iPad theme for the iPad then don't. iPad should run full websites rather than mobile kits as it has a decent screen resolution.

There are some minor differences between the iPad and the iPhone. Some margins and positions are different, as well of the actual colours of course. Here is a mockup iPad on iPhone interface compared to the standard iPhone interface:

No more pinstripes, and black status bars as standard rather than the grey ones!

<link href="startup.png" rel="apple-touch-startup-image" />

Hi guys,

I think in the iPad theme would be nice to have two "listViews" left(smaller) and right(wider). This can give us possibility tou build nativery-looking pages with twixes much informatyn on one page. Additionally because of the screnn size (current themes looks wired, to big, bulky) it would be nice do have some kind of popup-form( half screen size), with dimmed lights where we can put for example login fields and button $login. Currently when you run iWeb page on ipad it is like giant.
Does anybody knows how to do it (dual-list-view and form-log-in)

What on the iPhone or iPad? If it was on iPhone, don't you think a 2 column layout would make the text too small? The screen isn't that big to accompany a decent 2 column layout.

It would be really simple to achieve the CSS columns. I'm not sure how the iPad displays it? Does it keep one column the same whilst the other changes?

I think with the iPad theme - we have 2 object missing:

1. Two - TabBars view and Two List-Views. We should have two pairs of NavigationButtons. Do you think is possible? There is slightly different size of right-list-view in the "landscape-mode" - see pics:

2. Central single-view with tab-bar and navigation. Dimmed lights on the background? Is it possible what do you think?

It could be possible yes. However I don't have an iPad to develop on. Maybe there is an emulator somewhere on the internet that I can download.

Yeah,

I do not think there is something like emulator, the only way to emulate iPad is download XCODE and run empty application, than swith it off and go to the Safari.
Hehe - do you have apple mac?

If you want to try - I can help you with tests. Just send me some samples and I will do the screenshots for you.
What do you think - is it possible to build this central-form with dimmed-lights-backgroud?. Is it possible to show current page as dimmed-backgroud? sounds strange....

I have a mac, but it's PowerPC and Apple are too lazy to develop for it :S
The dimmed background could probably be easily achieved through Javascript, so yeah this could all be possible.
